Right now the whole site is free, you read everything without paying a cent, and that’s probably not changing anytime soon. But we already set up a couple of paid things (the occasional premium city pack, future e-books, maybe a membership tier one day), so this policy exists for when money actually changes hands.
The simple rule that covers 99% of cases
Digital products (PDF guides, video walkthroughs, membership access) are instant-delivery and non-refundable once you’ve downloaded them or accessed the content. Same logic as buying a movie ticket, once you’re inside the theater we can’t give the seat back. If you bought something by mistake within the last hour and haven’t opened the file yet, write us and we’ll refund immediately, no hard feelings.
When we will always refund, no questions asked
File is corrupted or completely blank.
You got charged twice because our payment page glitched (happens once a year, max).
We accidentally sent you the wrong product and it’s our fault.
You never received the download link after payment (sometimes emails go to spam, but if it’s our screw-up we fix it and refund if you don’t want to wait).
In these cases just shoot us a quick mail at [email protected] with your order number or PayPal transaction ID and we process the refund the same day, usually within minutes.
Memberships and subscriptions (when they exist)
First month is fully refundable within 14 days of signing up if you honestly didn’t find anything useful. After that it’s month-to-month, cancel anytime, no future charges, no partial refunds for the current month because servers still cost money even if you only used it three days.
Physical products (if we ever ship stickers or printed maps)
Not happy with what arrived? Return it within 30 days in the original condition and we refund the full amount plus the original shipping you paid. You only cover return postage unless we sent the wrong item or it arrived damaged, then we pay everything.
How to request a refund
Just write to [email protected] from the same email you used to buy, tell us what happened and include the order number if you have it. We usually reply within a couple of hours (unless we’re all on a red-eye flight with no Wi-Fi). Refunds go back to the original payment method and show up in 2-10 business days depending on your bank or card.
Things we can’t refund
Time you spent reading free articles (obviously).
Flight tickets you booked following our suggestions, hotels you reserved, visas you applied for. We give advice based on our own experience, but once you click “book” that’s between you and the airline or hotel.
