Who we actually are
We’re just five people who fly way too much and got obsessed with turning those annoying layovers into something worth remembering. Between us we’ve slept in probably 200 different airport hotels, eaten street food in 47 countries on transit visas, and once ran across Istanbul in flip-flops to catch a flight (made it by 4 minutes). This site is basically our shared google doc that got out of control.
Back in 2019 one of us had a 19-hour Doha layover and instead of crying in the lounge we grabbed the free city tour, ended up at the souq at midnight eating the best karak tea ever. Came home and told the group chat “dude why don’t we write this stuff down”. Six years later we still do exactly that, except now thousands of people use the plans every month.
Every time someone writes “your Seoul overnight guide saved my life” or “just did the Singapore light show because of you guys” we get stupidly happy. That’s the fuel. Also the fact that airports keep getting better and we’re always chasing the next secret capsule hotel or midnight hawker stall.
The team in three sentences
Anna writes the food parts because she’ll literally reroute a whole trip for good noodles, Max tests every single airport hotel bed himself, Lisa speaks five languages and fixes our terrible grammar, Deniz is the visa wizard, and Jake just takes the photos and keeps us from killing each other on 30-hour trips.
No sponsors, no fluff
We cover every flight, hotel, and overpriced airport beer out of our own pocket. If something disappoints, we say it straight. If a shuttle schedule changed yesterday, we update the guide today. Simple as that.
That’s it. We’re not some big travel corporation. Just five weirdos who think the best stories usually happen between flights.
